Inspiring customers with a multi-national training programme

A French-based pharmaceutical company briefed us to develop and manage a multi-event, multi-national programme of international customer training events over a 15-month period.

We were chosen to action 26 local customer training events – with 30-70 participants in each – because of our proven ability to organise and unify multiple events, while simplifying the complexity of dealing with many participant requirements.

Challenges:

Beyond the obvious challenge of managing 26 local meetings over two programmes, we were also faced with dealing with completely different project teams for each and every meeting.

In addition, there was no controlled registration management system in place, no existing plenary management, and a host of complex local travel requirements – which all needed handling quickly and efficiently to ensure success.

Successes:

Effective scheduling

We immediately engaged with the customer to develop an effective scheduling management solution across the programmes; due to the HQ teams needing to be present at all local meetings for delivery.

Delegate management service

Our planning team successfully introduced a cloud-based technology platform to address the lack of controlled registration and reporting requirements; this gave personnel contact with the participants for their travel and accommodation needs; on-site, the same member of staff was able to manage the welcome desk and
ensure familiarity.

Project management

We engaged a dedicated team across the two programmes to maintain continuity, providing the HQ project team with economies of scale and lessons learned from meeting to meeting, demonstrating continuous improvement.
