Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Clare began her career in events over 20 years ago, and has specialised in providing project implementation and event logistics to the healthcare industry for the past 13 years. Clare created Small Planet in 2002, to focus specifically on the healthcare sector.
Organised, determined and analytical, Clare brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to any project or event. She always ensures that customers receive the best possible service and care.
In her free time, Clare likes to travel, practise yoga and indulge her passion for interior design.
David is responsible for leading and managing the day to day business of Small Planet.
With more than 15 years of pharma industry experience, David brings experience of growing therapeutic portfolios, increasing sales and improving marketing strategies, through successful targeted approaches and implementing plans for strategic growth. Identifying new opportunities whilst continuing to deliver high standards for Small Planets customers is key for David.
Outside of work, David enjoys travelling, supporting Liverpool FC and spending time with his family.
With a track record of business transformation, Andrew specialises in helping companies to realise their potential through creating and implementing plans for strategic growth. Andrew brings experience, insight and objectivity to support the Small Planet team in optimising corporate performance.
Andrew has held a number of board-level leadership and non-exec director positions in the UK and abroad. Most recently, in the field of corporate travel and meetings, these included Managing Director of Europe, the Middle East and Africa for BCD Meetings and Events, and Chief Operating Officer for Chambers Travel Group. Previous to these roles, Andrew held senior roles with companies including Hogg Robinson Group, Munich Re Group, BUPA and McVities.
Outside of work, Andrew particularly enjoys kayaking, boating and mountain biking to take advantage of his Thames and Chilterns home location.
Kevin is responsible for all aspects of Finance, HR and company administration for Small Planet.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) and has over 20 years of commercial experience working in blue chip multinational, and mid-cap UK and European companies. His experience includes a variety of industry sectors: logistics and supply chain, catering, manufacturing and event management.
Kevin has worked in all areas of the finance function, and over the years has managed finance, IT, procurement and payroll departments. He has also worked overseas in Africa and Europe, and has held board directorships for companies in the UK, Ireland, Norway, Finland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Ivory Coast.
When not counting beans, Kevin is happiest skiing, playing golf and fulfilling his role as Treasurer and Trustee of Centre for The Magic Arts – a charity set up by the Magic Circle.
Communications & Training Director
John began his career as a biology teacher before joining the pharmaceutical industry to work in sales and marketing roles. He then settled into an area that he feels passionate about: training. John’s love for training and communication is evident in his style, which is highly professional, but with an element of fun.
He excels at keeping audiences engaged, entertained, informed and motivated. And he has a particular knack for invigorating and energising meetings by improving a speaker’s ability to engage with the audience – using his enthusiastic facilitation style.
Outside of work he is an avid supporter of Liverpool FC, enjoys travelling and films and has been known to dance a mean Salsa!
Business Development Manager
Natalie is a member of the Senior Management Team and is responsible for sales and product development at Small Planet.
Natalie has worked in the events industry for 13 years, including 8 at Small Planet. Much of this time has been spent delivering complex, multi-program clinical events as part of the Operations Team. However, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for implementing improvements, joining the Business Development Team was a natural transition.
Motivated by a desire to exceed client expectations, and to stay ahead of the competition, Natalie enjoys focusing on the latest industry event trends and discussing creative ideas with new clients.
Outside of work, Natalie enjoys travelling and can usually be found planning her next trip.
